It’s Mixology Monday! This month’s theme, Spring Break, comes from Joel over at Southern Ash. In Joel’s words:
I want all of you to dig deep, steeled by last month’s MxMO, and find your spring break drink! What sort of drinks do you enjoy when you start to break out of your winter shell? Do you crave a return to gin and tonics? Is there a drink that calls to you as the weather warms and the sun creeps through the sky longer and longer? Perhaps there is a drink that you fondly recall from your days of being a callow youth on Spring Break that led you down this primrose cocktail path? Do you turn to a specific cocktail throughout this blustery winter to keep your dreams of spring alive? Do you crave a new cocktail taking you away? This is the month to to share those warm weather finds!

The Sazerac is a favorite of ours (we used it for

Given that it’s cold and rainy here in Seattle, we decided to focus on mixing with guava this week; if it can’t be sunny and tropical outside, at least it can be in our cocktails. We’re big fans of guava, with its sweet, mildly floral taste and slightly grainy texture, and have used it in several cocktails
A while back we received a sample of
With the Solstice holidays behind us, it’s time to look to the end of 2015. With that in mind, we decided to make some party-compatible punches. One cold and fruit-forward, one warm and elegant. Let’s end 2015 with a bang. 🙂

It’s getting on towards the winter holidays, so we decided to throw together a couple of seasonal cocktails, featuring flavors we associate with this time of year. We went green (evergreen, that is ;)) for one, and orange for the other.
